Privacy at Nourish

Quick version: your data is yours, no analytics, no tracking. Longer version below.

What we collect

When you sign up:

  • Your email (for sign-in)
  • Your name, timezone, birthdate, height, sex, goal, and weekly training mix — only what you enter in the onboarding wizard
  • Body composition entries (weight, body fat, etc.) — only what you log
  • Meals — only what you log

We don't collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or telemetry. There's no analytics platform behind this — no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, nothing.

Where it lives

All your data is in a Supabase Postgres database. Each row carries your user ID, and Row Level Security policies enforce at the database level that nobody can read another user's data — not even Greg.

Photo uploads (InBody scans, meal photos) go to Supabase Storage with the same per-user access policies.

AI processing

When you use Coach, log a meal via text/voice/photo, or upload an InBody scan, the input is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for parsing. Anthropic returns structured data, which we save.

Per Anthropic's API policy, your inputs are not used to train their models.

Emails

We send a few types of emails via Resend:

  • A short welcome email when you complete onboarding
  • A morning ping at 8am and nightly digest at 9pm (both can be disabled in Profile → Notifications)
  • Replies from Greg when you send feedback

We don't share your email with anyone. There's no email marketing platform — Greg sends responses himself.

Native push notifications

If you opt in via Profile, your device registers a web-push subscription. The subscription is stored in our database tied to your account. Disabling push (or removing the PWA from your home screen) removes the subscription.

Data deletion

You can ask Greg to delete your account and all associated data — just reply to any email or use the feedback button in Profile. Deletion cascades across all tables: meals, body comp, push subscriptions, and the user record itself.

What Nourish is NOT

Nourish is a personal hobby project — not a business, corporation, or company. It exists because Greg wanted to share his nutrition tracking workflow with family and friends. Access is invite-only.

Nourish is informational only and is not a source of medical, dietary, or fitness advice. The AI-generated estimates (macros from text/voice/photo, coach suggestions, trend insights, body composition reads) are approximations and can be wrong. Don't make medical decisions based on anything Nourish tells you.

If you have a medical condition, dietary restriction, eating disorder, are pregnant, or have specific fitness goals where precision matters, consult a registered dietitian or your doctor.

Nourish is provided as-is with no warranty and no service guarantees. The app may break, change, or be discontinued at any time. Greg's time on this is volunteered.
